Project overview

REGE-FARMS (Regenerative Agriculture for Farmers) is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Vocational Education and Training (KA220-VET). Running from November 2025 to October 2027, the project connects five organisations across five EU countries to develop open training resources and hands-on field-day programmes focused on regenerative agriculture.

The partnership targets farmers, vocational trainers, and agricultural advisors who need practical, evidence-based materials rather than abstract policy language. All core outputs are published as open educational resources under Creative Commons licences.

Project objectives

  1. Build a training toolkit — methodological guideline, farmer case studies, and visual learning pills for vocational and adult learning contexts.
  2. Deliver field-day programmes — at least 15 on-farm events reaching 300+ farmers, demonstrating regenerative practices in real conditions.
  3. Disseminate widely — multilingual website, interactive map, news updates, and partner networks to maximise uptake across Europe.

Why regenerative agriculture?

European soils face erosion, compaction, and loss of organic matter. Climate change brings more droughts and heavy rainfall. The EU Green Deal and Farm to Fork strategy call for farming systems that restore ecosystems while remaining economically viable.

Regenerative agriculture offers a practical response: cover crops, reduced tillage, diversified rotations, agroforestry, and integrated livestock can rebuild soil carbon, improve water retention, and lower dependence on synthetic inputs. REGE-FARMS makes these approaches accessible through peer learning and vocational training pathways.
